Boy I hiope you're ready....Right! We're back on the photos ladies and gentlemen. Thank a free WiFi connection that I can steal from the garden of the hostel here in Melbourne, and a big fat glass of red wine to keep out the cold.

Starting back, ooh, months ago in Cambodia, and the long-awaited 2nd half of Angkor Wat!

In the mammoth grounds of the temple and the vast surrounding gardens, where there used to stand a city to support the nefarious and prisetly activities of the ancient Khmer rulers, were a bunch of smaller temples, stupas and gatehouse, one stupa right here:

And me, in my favourite super-human-omnipotent-god-damn-bloody-amazing, ruler-of-all-humanity pose. Like I do every Saturday night out on the town:

Ah, Gregory made it into the photo ops again - strange man had this habit of jumping off things and getting me to get a shot of him in mid-air. Occasionally the chap was earth-bound though, and looking equally ridiculous :

And there was another incredible looking installation of temples and suchlike in the area, called Bayon and/or Baphuon (I forget which one this actually was, but it was the one worth looking at) which was made up largely of these rather enigmatic four-sided faces that were carved into the tops of towers and chambers, and, well, see for yourself:

These were the catalogued but unassembled stones on the floor, left there due to some reorganising political shenanigan I don;t remember clearly - Pol Pot and his band of happy troubadours tried to destroy Angkor Wat at one point, basically. Enlightened chap....
